About

Michel Fleißner (*1989) is a designer and photographer based in Leipzig. His creative work is rooted in a deep curiosity that spans a wide range of topics, manifesting in four key areas. Photography is his foundation, Visual Communication his profession. Design Research became an outlet for theoretical questions, while Experimental Design complements his holistic approach.

His work engages with social change, urban development, and environmental responsibility, balancing theory and practice. Connecting everyday observations with global interconnections, he examines human behaviour and its corresponding environment through design. His experimental approach blends order and chaos, function and emotion, bridging digital and physical realms.

After training as a Design Assistant, he earned a Bachelor's in Integrated Design at Anhalt University, Dessau and a Master's in Design Studies at Burg Giebichenstein, Halle (Saale). An exchange at the Cleveland Institute of Art and an internship at Serviceplan Berlin broadened his perspective.

THE MEANING OF LIFE
"Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations."*
